I was a daily drinker. Mostly wine but the entire bottle in one sitting. Since taking your counseling and naltrexone, I am finally rid of the temptation to drink.*

— Maria

“The idea of not drinking was like losing my best friend… But that’s not the case anymore. Now I see a sip of alcohol or a glass of wine as a treat but if I go a week or two without it I’m ok, and I never thought that would happen.”

— Rachael

“I have done AA, rehab, and IOPs that didn’t help at all. With Ria Health, after less than one year, I don’t even think about drinking anymore.*”

— Mark

FAQs

Does Ria Health accept insurance?

Ria Health’s telemedicine program is in-network with several major insurance providers, including Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare/Optum, Oxford, Magellan, United Medicare Advantage, and Cigna. This means that many of these plans will cover some, or all of the cost of our program. To find out if you’re covered, you can use this link to verify your insurance.

Do I have to quit drinking completely, or can I just reduce?

At Ria Health, we work with you to define what success looks like for you, whether that’s quitting entirely, drinking less, or simply feeling more in control of your relationship with alcohol.

Some patients choose complete abstinence. Others aim to reduce how much or how often they drink. Depending on your path, our treatment program will employ different evidence-based approaches to support you — including FDA-approved medications, coaching, and ongoing care.

Is my information kept private and confidential?

Yes. Under HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), your health information can only be shared with your explicit consent — and we take that seriously.

At Ria Health, your personal and medical information is:

We recognize that seeking treatment for alcohol use disorder is a deeply personal decision, and your employer, family members, or anyone else will not be contacted without your permission.

How effective is Ria Health’s program?

On average, Ria Health members see a 50% reduction in their blood alcohol concentration within 3 months and a 75% reduction after 12 months in the program. The vast majority of our members see an increase in non-drinking days, a decrease in the number of drinks per week, and binge drink much less.

Is the treatment online or in-person?

Ria Health is completely online. All medical consultations, coaching sessions, and prescription management happen through our app or over the phone — no office visits, ever. Our care team includes licensed medical professionals who provide the same evidence-based treatment you’d receive in a clinical setting, from the privacy of your home.
